About Att’y Barnes

Attorney Priya Barnes is a Wisconsin lawyer.

Her law practice focuses on family, business, criminal defense, bankruptcy, estate planning and juvenile law matters. She practices in both state and federal courts in Wisconsin. Attorney Barnes is focused on giving her clients timely information and competent advice. Her outcome- and process-focused approach helps her clients regain control of their lives as quickly as possible.

Attorney Barnes is a seasoned businesswoman who know how to get things done. Prior to practicing law, she founded and ran a successful small business for 12 years. During that time, she was also an adjunct professor at Marquette University Diederich College of Communication where she taught at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

She has served on various community and arts boards, including the Milwaukee Children’s Choir, the Planning Council for Health & Human Services, which is now part of Impact, Inc., and the Milwaukee County Department on Aging’s Connecting Caring Communities Communications Executive & Core Leadership Councils.

In 2008, Attorney Barnes ran her first (and last!) half-marathon for charity. She raised over $4,000 for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America Team Challenge. In her spare time, she likes to cook, read, skate, and travel.
